Kanye West becomes ‘The Last of Us 2’ fan

The Last of Us game is one of the most hit video games ever and Kanye West has become its latest fan.

Taking to Instagram, Ye shared a picture of the gameplay, writing, “Last of Us 2 on survivor+ mode got me spending all day on one board. By faaaaaaarrrr the best game ever made so far. This is not a sponsored post.”

Apparently, the Power hitmaker’s interest in video games is not newfound.

According to gaming journalist Zachary Ryan, the Grammy winner pitched a game to Nintendo boss Shigeru Miyamoto in 2015 about his late mother Donda West.

According to HipHopDx, it was named Only One and was announced during a Yeezy fashion event in New York.

Though a trailer of the game was also released in 2016 it was turned down by Nintendo.

“Part of it was talking about what he was up to,” Reggie Fils-Aimé, the ex-boss of Nintendo of America shared on Talking Games With Reggie and Harold’s podcast why they did not work with Kanye.

“He was experimenting with a piece of video game content. He wanted reactions to it. He comes out and says, ‘I want to work with Nintendo,’” he continued.

“We had so many different projects at Nintendo going on, the possibility of doing something with Kanye just wasn’t there, and so I had to find a way to politely decline this opportunity to work with him.”

“I told him, ‘Kanye, you don’t want to work with us because we’re tough, we’re hard. All we do is push for the very best content. We would not be the type of partner you would want to work with,’” the top executive added.

“And he looks at me and says, ‘Reggie, you’re exactly the type of partner I want because of that reason!’ It’s like, ‘Oh my gosh.’”
