WhatsApp is developing a new feature which will ensure that events are also present in regular chats after community tabs for a more seamless experience for all users.

Meta-owned platform’s new feature is scheduled for release in a future update. The events which will be created by users in their individual chats will be similar as the ones created in the group chats in order to maintain the consistency across the platform, reported WABetaInfo.

Along with an optional description to offer additional context, users will need to provide a name for the event, which is mandatory.

Ensuring that all participants are clear about the schedule, the date on which the event will take place is required.

Additionally, making it easier to define the duration, users will still have the option to specify an end time for the event.

Enabling participants to know exactly where the meeting or activity will occur, an optional location can also be attached to the event.

Moreover, once an event is created in an individual chat, it will be automatically shared in that conversation, and the recipient will be notified.

Making it easier for users to confirm their participation, the recipient can then choose to accept or decline the event invitation.
