‘Jamie Foxx: What Happened Was’ star makes his return to the red carpet after emotional health journey
Jamie Foxx has made a memorable return to the Golden Globes.
The actor, nominated for Best Performance in Stand-Up comedy for Jamie Foxx: What Happened Was, brought his daughters Anelise,16, and Corinne, 30, as his dates.
Foxx donned a black suit with beaded lapels and floral detail at the collar for the red carpet.
While, daughter Anelise, who is Jamie’s daughter with ex Kristin Grannis, wore a white double-breasted blazer with black trim and black trousers and Corinne, Jamie’s daughter with ex Connie Kline, wowed in a stunning black gown with a beaded bodice and dramatic slit.
It is worth mentioning that the actor’s return comes after his medical emergency in 2023. He shared his emotional journey revealing that he suffered a stroke after a brain bleed.
Taking to Instagram, Foxx expressed his gratitude for Golden Globes recognition. Sharing a video clip, he also expressed gratitude to fans for supporting his Netflix special.
“It’s a blessing to be in the position that I’m in to be able to tell you my story in my way… I hope the jokes make you laugh and I hope the story inspires you,” he wrote in the caption.
