Mike Tyson makes shock admission about Jake Paul fight amid controversy
Mike Tyson just broke silence over controversies swirling over his fight with Jake Paul.
Admitting how he doesn’t remember much of the quite hyped-up face-off, in which the 58-year-old legendary heavyweight boxer lost to the 27-year-old influencer.
In an interview with Covino & Rich on Fox Sports, Tyson, who is also nicknamed as Iron Mike, admitted that he “blanked out a little” during the contest.
“I don’t remember the fight that much, I kind of blanked out a little,” he told the hosts in his latest interaction with them.
Tyson continued, “I remember coming back from the first round and Jake is doing some kind of…I don’t know what he was doing,” and then proceeded to show how Paul was bowing in the ring, adding, “And that’s the last thing I remember.”
Additionally, the International Boxing Hall of Fame member also questioned why he agreed to fight Jake Paul in the first place, discussing his introspection, mentioning, “The day after I woke up and said to my wife, ‘Why did I do that?’ I just don’t know what the hell was going on.”
“I don’t remember it, but my body was really sore, my chest, my stomach was really sore,” Mike Tyson recalled, however, despite losing to Jake Paul, he displayed true sportsmanship with his response over if he wanted to change anything about the fight. “Not at all,” he replied.
