A renowned TV host, Andy Cohen, recently cleared the air after a controversial comment about Vanderpump Rules star Lala Kent.

In his recent interview with Us Weekly, Cohen articulated his thoughts, saying that viewers do not always like what he says on his Sirius XM show, Andy Cohen Live.

The 56-year-old said, “There are things I say that the viewers disagree with. There was a moment early in ‘Vanderpump Rules’ where I said [on the radio], ‘Lala [Kent] is the voice of reason this season.’ People played that clip for months on end and were all over me.”

He added, “Sometimes I mess up, but I think I have a good sense. [Radio] is also a place I talk more often as a producer than I do anywhere else. It’s a great opportunity for me to give background and explain further my point of view.”

For the unversed, Kent had been outspoken during the 11th season of Vanderpump Rules as she disagreed with co-stars Katie Maloney and Ariana Madix, and some fans did not like her behaviour.

In March 2024, Cohen talked on his show after filming the Vanderpump Rules reunion.

The Real Housewives of Orange County alum stated, “Let me tell you about Lala. She has become the voice of reason on the show. She, I think, has her best. I went to her before the reunion and I said, ‘This is your best season.’ Without question, her best season.”

In April this year, Cohen again explained on his radio show that a comment he made about Kent and Brock Davies had upset fans.

He shared, “I said something very offhandedly on this broadcast about three weeks ago that has just been clogging up my Twitter timeline ever since and not in a positive way,” adding, “I believe that I again kind of offhandedly said that Lala and Brock are the voices of reason this season.”

It is pertinent to mention that following the Live Connection host’s comment about Kent, viewers saw her give a big speech in the season 11 finale, where she targeted Madix.

In the final moments of the episode, called Plot Twist, she claimed that Madix was acting like she was “Beyoncé” and hammered her for not filming with her ex, Tom Sandoval.
