Jay-Z might just find himself in hot water.

After being accused of raping a 13-year-old at the MTV VMAs’ afterparty back in 2000 alongside Sean “Diddy” Combs, the rap mogul has now been accused of “wasting court resources” in an attempt to clear his name.

The 55-year-old, who has vehemently denied the allegations placed on him by the woman, who refers to herself as Jane Doe, is mainly accused of drugging and then rapping the victim.

Jay, whose real name is Shawn Carter, has also attempted that through his lawyer, Alex Spiro the case either dies down or force the woman to be publicly identified.

However, Judge Analisa Torres has taken a decision in favor of the accuser in Jay-Z’s fight and has permitted the woman anonymity for the next stage of proceedings.

In the five-page long filing, Judge Torres called the rapper’s legal moves as “combative”, adding that they were filled with “inflammatory language.”

In her statement, the judge mentioned, “Carter’s lawyer’s relentless filing of combative motions containing inflammatory language and ad hominem attacks is inappropriate, a waste of judicial resources, and a tactic unlikely to benefit his client.”

“The Court will not fast-track the judicial process merely because counsel demands it,” she further stated.

In Jay-Z’s case, Judge Toerres also added that Jane Doe’s anonymity would be preserved as “the weight of the factors tips in favour of allowing Plaintiff to remain anonymous, at least for this stage of the litigation.”
