Justin Baldoni slapped with another lawsuit amid Blake Lively’s legal filing
Justin Baldoni lands in hot water again amid Blake Lively’s legal lawsuit
Justin Baldoni, the It Ends With Us actor and director, has been slapped with another bombshell lawsuit.
As per Deadline, on Tuesday, December 24, Baldoni’s former publicist sued him and others for defamation and breach of contract.
In a filing in New York, Stephanie Jones, who founded Jonesworks is going after the 40-year-old actor’s Wayfarer Studios, publicists Melissa Nathan and Jennifer Abel for defamation, breach of contract and more.
“Defendants Abel and Nathan secretly conspired for months to publicly and privately attack Jones and Jonesworks, to breach multiple contracts and induce contractual breaches, and to steal clients and business prospects,” the filing stated.
The formal lawsuit further stated behind Jones’s back, they secretly coordinated with Baldoni and Wayfarer to implement an aggressive media smear campaign against Lively.
It further claimed that later, they used the crisis as an opportunity to drive a wedge between Jones and Baldoni, and to publicly pin blame for this smear campaign on Jones.
Since Blake Lively has accused Justin Baldoni of sexual harassment and creating a hostile work environment on the set of It Ends With Us, the actor has been dropped by agency, and has prestigious award revoked.
Baldoni’s lawyer, on other hand, has called the allegations “completely false, outrageous and intentionally salacious”.
