Mariah Carey declared herself the ‘queen of festivities’ when she named her go-to holiday movie
Mariah Carey is unarguably the “Queen of Christmas.”
With her record-breaking track, All I Want For Christmas Is You, that recently reached the Billboard Hot 100 for an impeccable 17th total week, she has spread holiday cheer across the globe.
How does Carey celebrate her own Christmas holiday though? It’s by watching the hit, audience-favourite movie, Elf!
“I live for Elf. Also, in general I love movies like Miracle on 34th Street, It’s a Wonderful Life; I like the classics,” she mentioned, as per Daily Star.
The Emotions singer continued, “But I have to say Elf is my favorite, so good. If I could be a female version of that character I would be that Will Ferrell character. It’s the best classic of the last 15 years.”
Since 2003, Elf has become a popular Christmas tradition amongst many families, and Mariah Carey is not the only one to think so. Recently, Prince Williams of Wales has also admitted to being a fan of the holiday movie.
In conclusion, the 55-year-old Grammy-winning singer declared, “I’m the queen of festivities, that’s all I can say.”
