Blake Lively details Justin Baldoni’s alleged body shaming tactics

Justin Baldoni reportedly “cried” when pictures of Blake Lively from the set of It Ends With Us were leaked.

According to Blake’s new bombshell lawsuit, Baldoni wasn’t happy with her appearance and thought she didn’t look “hot” enough.

The Gossip Girl star gave birth to her fourth child months before filming for the movie began in May 2023, and was breastfeeding her baby at the time.

She alleges that the Jane the Virgin actor was overly concerned about her weight and “cried” in her trailer over the leaked set photos.

“On the second day of filming, for example, Mr. Baldoni made the rest of the cast and crew wait for hours while he cried in Ms. Lively’s dressing room, claiming social media commentators were saying that Ms. Lively looked old and unattractive based on paparazzi photos from the set,” the filing alleges.

Lively claims that she argued “that she should look authentic in the scenes depicted in the photos, which were just after her character had been abused by her fictional husband, rather than ‘hot.’”

She alleged that he “routinely degraded” over her appearance and found “back channel ways of criticizing her body and weight.”

In his alleged attempts to make the actress shed pounds quickly, Baldoni contacted her trainer and asked them to help her lose weight in “two weeks” and said he was concerned because he had to lift her in an upcoming scene. Lively claims there was no such scene in the script.

In another covert attempt to make her slim down, he allegedly connected her with an “expert” when she came down with strep throat. It was while filling out her forms that she reportedly realized the expert was a “weight loss specialist.”

According to the lawsuit, Blake Lively’s husband Ryan Reynolds also attended crisis talks about Justin Baldoni and his production partner Jamey Heath’s behavior on the set of It Ends With Us.
