Robbie Williams announces major decision after Oscars shortlist disqualification
Robbie Williams biopic ‘Better Man’ arrives next week
Robbie Williams announced major decision after facing disqualification from Oscars.
As reported by Mirror, Williams announced that he plans to retake his GCSEs after “feeling stupid” for most of his life.
The Take That singer, who is currently gearing up for the release of his biopic, Better Man this Christmas, revealed he wanted to “set up a university” but wouldn’t be able to attend himself as he didn’t get any GCSEs.
“I got nothing higher than a grade D, and everything else I failed or I didn’t turn up for,” Williams said, adding, “I really want to go back and get them.”
His interview comes two days after the 90s famous singer’s new song titled Forbidden Road was reportedly disqualified from the 2025 Oscars shortlist after the shocking discovery, according to a report by Rolling Stone.
The outlet shared that the disqualification was confirmed in a letter sent to the members of Academy’s Music Branch on December 20, 2024. The letter reportedly explained that Forbidden Road violated the requirement for original music and lyrics.
It is worth mentioning that Robbie Williams’ Better Man tells the story of his life and career, which will be released on Boxing Day.
